Who this covers

This policy explains how Option 10 LLC (“Option 10”, “we” or “us”) handles personal information on option10.com and on list.option10.com, including the free calculator, the quiz and the review booking calendar on that site. Option 10 LLC is a business coaching and digital services company. Our mailing address is 168 W Main St, Unit 81, New Market, MD 21774.

The short version

• We collect what you give us, plus the technical details your browser sends automatically.
• We do not sell, rent or lease your information.
• We do not send marketing text messages to people who use our tools or book a review.
• Follow-up emails are optional. We ask for your agreement with a tick box that starts unticked, and the emails sent by our email system carry an unsubscribe link.
• You can ask us to correct or delete your information at any time.

What we collect

Information you give us. Depending on what you use, this can include:

• Your name and email address, when you open a calculator or quiz result, book a review, or write to us.
• Your phone number. It is optional when you open a calculator or quiz result, and required when you book a review. We use it only as described under “Text messages and calls” below.
• Anything you type in the “Additional information” box when you book.
• The figures you enter in the calculator, such as the number of past customers or clients you have, your average sale value, what you pay for a lead, your closing rate, your repeat-purchase rate and the years since you last contacted your list. These stay in your browser until you open your full breakdown. When you open it, we save them with your name and email address.
• Your answers and score in the quiz, and your optional answers about your type of business, your state and where your customer list is kept.
• Your booking details: the date and time you choose and what you enter in the booking form.

The tools ask for figures about your business. They never ask you to type in or upload your customers’ names or contact details.

Information collected automatically. This can include your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you visit, access times, the website that referred you, and campaign details carried in a link. We use it to run and secure our websites and to understand which of our content brings people to us. Our pages and the platform they run on may use cookies and similar technology for these purposes. On option10.com we also use analytics and behavior-recording tools, such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, and spam protection on our forms.

Records of your choices. When you tick the box asking for follow-up emails, we record the wording you agreed to, the time, the page and the version of the wording. We keep this so that we can show what you agreed to.

Payment details. The calculator, the quiz and the review booking are free. They do not ask for card or bank details.

How we use your information

• To show you your result or breakdown and to email you a summary of it.
• To book your review, confirm it, give you the Zoom link and, when the review is more than a day away, remind you the day before.
• To prepare for your review, so that the conversation uses the numbers you entered.
• To send you follow-up emails, but only if you ticked the box.
• To let us know that someone used a tool or booked a review.
• To operate, secure and improve our websites and services, to answer your messages, and to meet our legal obligations.

Emails

After you open a result, we email you a summary of it. After you book a review, we email a confirmation, and when the review is more than a day away we also send a reminder the day before. These emails are about something you asked for.

If you ticked the follow-up box, we also send a short series of emails about putting your customer list to work. If you did not tick it, you will not receive that series.

If you are a client, or you have asked to hear from us, we may also email announcements, offers, alerts and surveys.

Every email sent by our email system carries an unsubscribe link. You can also ask us to stop by contacting us at the details below. We act on every request.

Text messages and calls

We do not send marketing text messages to people who use our tools or book a review. If you give us a phone number when you use a tool or book a review, we may call or text you about that booking only, for example to reach you if there is a problem with your meeting link. If we ever change this, we will ask for your agreement separately first.

During a review

Showing us your customer list is optional. If you choose to share your screen during a review, we use what we see to help you in that session.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or lease our customer lists to third parties.

We use service providers to run our services. They may handle your information only to do that work for us, and they are required to keep it confidential. They include:

• GoHighLevel (also called LeadConnector), the platform that hosts list.option10.com, our booking calendar, our contact records and our email sending.
• Zoom, which creates the video meeting for your review.
• Google, whose calendar and invitation service we use to schedule your review.

We may also disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that doing so is necessary to: (a) conform to the law or comply with legal process served on Option 10 LLC or our websites; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Option 10 LLC; or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of our websites or the public.

How long we keep it

We keep your contact, result and booking records for as long as we need them for the purposes above, and for as long as the law requires. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so, subject to the exceptions listed under “Right to deletion”.

Security

We use encryption (SSL) when information travels between your browser and our websites, and we take reasonable steps to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time. You can also ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, write to us using the details at the end of this policy. We will check that the request comes from you before we act, and we will not treat you differently for making it.

Right to deletion

Subject to the exceptions below, when we receive a verifiable request from you, we will:

• Delete your personal information from our records.
• Direct any service providers to delete your personal information from their records.

We may not be able to comply with a request to delete your personal information if it is necessary to:

• Complete the transaction for which the personal information was collected, fulfill the terms of a written warranty or product recall conducted in accordance with federal law, provide a good or service requested by you or reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, or otherwise perform a contract between you and us.
• Detect security incidents, or protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for that activity.
• Debug to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality.
• Exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise their right of free speech, or exercise another right provided for by law.
• Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act.
• Engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws, when our deletion of the information is likely to render impossible or seriously impair the achievement of such research, provided we have obtained your informed consent.
• Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with us.
• Comply with an existing legal obligation.
• Otherwise use your personal information, internally, in a lawful manner that is compatible with the context in which you provided the information.

Children

Our websites and tools are for business owners and are not directed at children. Option 10 LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen. If you are under thirteen, you must ask a parent or guardian for permission to use our websites.

Changes to this policy

We may change this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also place a notice on our websites. If you keep using our websites or services after a change, you accept the updated policy.
